Stories on Skates

Roller skating is making a comeback thanks to the pandemic. But, roller rinks, with deep-rooted importance in Black History, are disappearing and their stories are dying with them. Black roller skaters want to change that.

Using Adobe’s 3D tools, we harness the fascination around skate culture and tell untold stories from the rink. We collaborated with actress, singer, songwriter Cynthia Erivo, and a 3D production team, to design one-of-a-kind roller skates using Adobe’s 3D tools – inspired by Black skate culture and created to share the history behind it.
